Ingredients
- chicken breasts, thinly sliced — 4 pcs
- lemon pepper seasoning
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- smoked paprika
- neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
- butter — 60 g
- garlic, minced
- all-purpose flour — 30 g
- chicken broth — 480 ml
- heavy cream — 240 ml
- freshly grated Parmesan — 25 g
- lemon — 1 pcs
- fresh parsley
Steps
- Season the four thinly sliced chicken breasts on both sides with lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat a drizzle of neutral oil and a little butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken 3–4 minutes per side until browned (it does not need to be fully cooked through), then remove the chicken to a plate.
- Add the 60 g butter to the pan and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30–60 seconds.
- Sprinkle in the 30 g of flour and stir into the garlic and pan juices for about 1 minute; add a little of the original seasonings to taste.
- Slowly pour in the 480 ml chicken broth and 240 ml heavy cream, stirring constantly over low heat until the sauce thickens, a few minutes.
- Stir in the 25 g grated Parmesan and the juice of the lemon, mixing until smooth and combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, place a lemon slice on top of each piece, cover, and simmer on low for about 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
