Savory Pancakes with Sausage and Cheese

Ingredients

  • Milk — 500 ml
  • Eggs — 3 pcs
  • Salt
  • Smoked paprika
  • Vegetable oil — 2.5 tbsp
  • All-purpose flour — 290 g
  • Sausage
  • Cheese
  • Fresh herbs (dill or parsley)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl whisk the eggs with half of the milk, the vegetable oil, salt and smoked paprika until smooth, then stir in the flour to make a thick batter.
  2. Gradually add the remaining milk while stirring until the batter is pourable and smooth.
  3. Fold in the grated sausage, grated cheese and chopped fresh herbs so they are evenly distributed in the batter.
  4. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat. Pour a ladle of batter into the pan and spread slightly; cook until the underside is golden and set, then flip and cook the second side until golden.
  5. Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked pancakes on a plate. Serve hot.
