Crispy fried deviled eggs

Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • Cream cheese
  • Herbs
  • Garlic
  • Lemon
  • Oil (for frying)

Steps

  1. Hard‑boil the eggs, cool under cold water, peel and halve them lengthwise; transfer the yolks to a bowl and keep the whites aside.
  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the egg white halves until crispy and golden, turning as needed; drain on paper towel.
  3. Mash the reserved yolks with the cream cheese, chopped herbs, minced garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk and cream cheese mixture back into the fried egg white halves and serve.
