Juicy Fried Pork Belly in Homemade Sauce

Ingredients
- Pork belly — 1000 g
- Onion — 1 pcs
- Garlic cloves — 3 pcs
- Dry white wine — 150 ml
- Soy sauce — 60 ml
- Olive oil — 2 tbsp
- Sugar — 1 tbsp
- Wine vinegar — 1 tbsp
- Dried ginger — 0.5 tsp
- Chili flakes — 0.5 tsp
- Salt — 1 g
Steps
- Trim and slice the pork belly into even pieces.
- Heat a pan and fry the pork belly in batches until golden brown on all sides; transfer to a plate.
- Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- Add the onion and garlic to the pan and sauté, stirring, for about 3 minutes.
- Add the dry white wine, soy sauce, olive oil, sugar, wine vinegar, dried ginger and chili flakes to the pan and stir to combine.
- Return the fried pork belly to the pan, add salt, pour the sauce over the meat, cover and simmer on low heat until the pork is tender (about 40 minutes).
- Serve hot.
