• pound Italian sausage
• pound ground beef
• onion chopped
• garlic minced
• ounces canned tomatoes cut up . I use diced fire roasted
• ounces tomato paste
• teaspoons granulated sugar
• teaspoons salt
• teaspoons dried basil leaves
• teaspoons fennel seed
• teaspoons pepper
• ounces ricotta cheese
• large egg beaten
• Tablespoon parsley flakes or 2 teaspoons fresh minced parsley
• teaspoon salt
• shredded mozzarella cheese
• Parmesan cheese grated
