• x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
• bay leaves
• rosemary sprig
• thyme sprigs
• dried oregano
• beef stock cubes
• red wine
• about 12 dried pasta sheets
• parmesan finely grated
• onion thickly sliced
• butter
• plain flour
• good grating of nutmeg
