Smoked mash potatoes (how to smoke butter)

I've always been interested in smoking food but I haven't had the time or the money to invest in proper smoking equipment. I have settled for a smoke gun which is effective for smaller items. I started with smoking cooked beetroot and then I wanted to make smoked mash potato and realised if I smoked the butter it's the perfect way to impart the flavour into the potatoes. If you don't want to smoke your own butter, it can be bought on line.If you buy a gun, just have fun with it and experiment. I hope this little video helps.
