Cucumber Lime Yogurt Pops
Cucumber, Greek yogurt, and lime zest frozen into refreshing ice pops provide much-needed relief from hot summer afternoons. I live in the South. If you haven't spent any time down here, allow me to inform you that it gets freakin' hot. Luckily, relief comes at the end of a creeping vine of the Cucurbitaceae family upon which grows a fruit called the cucumber. The fact that these pops are frozen doesn't hurt. The chili powder may seem counter-intuitive, but trust me: It’s been proven that spicy foods can cool you down by increasing blood flow and making you sweat. And in this case, the chili powder tastes good too. This recipe first appeared in EveryDayCook. Photo by Lynne Calamia
