  • of water
  • bay leaf
  • T olive oil
  • carrots, chopped
  • celery stalks, sliced
  • small yellow onions or 2 larger ones, chopped
  • t salt
  • few grinds of pepper from the mill
  • sprig fresh tarragon, chopped
  • c heavy cream
