Basil and Halloumi bites

Basil and Halloumi bites

Sometimes the simplest snacks make the biggest impact, and that can’t be more true for these basil and halloumi bites. Filled with homemade pesto, halloumi and mozzarella cheese these doughy bites are a delightful treat for any occasion. Make them to share, as a side or simply to treat yourself (we don’t judge!)What Is Halloumi?Halloumi is a semi-soft, chewy cheese that has its origins in Cyprus. It is made from a variety of milks including cow, goat and sheep. It’s texture and mild flavour can be enjoyed raw, but it’s high melting temperature means that it is most commonly served grilled or fried.
