Cherries in Red Wine Sauce

I've eaten more cherries lately than a lifetime combined. Here is a super simple way to eat them over ice cream or with fresh whipped cream on top. The picture is a cherry orchard in Idaho...they taste even more amazing right off the tree! We picked so many that day that we came home and made this recipe to use some of them up, and the difference in taste was just another tantalizing treat for our taste buds. Ahhh, summer.
