Nutrition Data API

Multilingual nutrition data API: 4,631 standardized raw ingredients, 19 languages, 41 nutrients, household portions, density conversion and nutrient-level provenance.

What you get

Not the raw datasets — those are public. Two incompatible sources reduced to one 41-field standard, names translated into 19 languages, household portions and density for ml to g conversion, and typo-tolerant search that works in every language. Missing measurements stay null and never silently become zero.

Plans

Free: 1,000 requests per month. Growth: 100,000 requests per month. Scale: 500,000 requests per month. Localized paid-plan prices are loaded from Paddle, Google Play, or the App Store. All languages and all 41 fields are included in every plan — plans differ by volume, not by data. Each plan also caps how many distinct products a key may retrieve per month; bulk access to the whole dataset is licensed separately.

Field coverage

41 fields is the standard, not a promise. Energy is present for 100% of products and macronutrients for about 99.7%, while vitamins range from 48% to 85% and specialised fields such as starch or caffeine from 29% to 44%. Official sources never measure every micronutrient for every product.

Endpoints

GET /api/v1/foods/search for multilingual search, GET /api/v1/foods/{id} for the full record with provenance, and GET /api/v1/meta for the field standard and your plan limits. Authenticate with the X-API-Key header or Authorization: Bearer.
